I've had problems with the silicone straps breaking - mostly the securing pins, so I purchased the stainless steel bracelet, only to have the same problem after 8 months. Was offered this as a replacement and actually am really happy with it. Unlike silicone & steel bracelets this is adjustable to exactly the size of your wrist, as opposed to .5 cm increments, so it fits much better. In addition the strap itself is thinner than either the silicone or the steel bracelet and less prone (like the silicone) to popping out if it gets caught on something.
